In Bruxelles, the STIB is the company of public transportations, a network map of Bruxelles can be found on their website.

Tickets can be bought from the driver in the busses and the trams (but not in the metro), from vending machines in the street and in the metro stations and from most newspapers shops. Buying a ticket on the bus/tram is the most expensive option, since you can buy single fare tickets only and it will cost you 2 euros. Vending machines and shops sell single fare tickets at 1,50 euros as well as 5 fares,10 fares or 3 days tickets (prices: 7; 11,50 and 9,50 euros). Each fare is valid during one hour with unlimited changes, but don't forget to validate your ticket every time you get into a vehicle, even for 3 days tickets (look for the orange machines).
